Our keffiyehs and tatreez pieces are made in our own family factory and workshop, not bought in from a supplier and relabelled. Our own factory, not a supplier's

Our grandfather, Jido Ahmed Al-Bulbul, was forced out of Jaffa in 1948 and settled with his family near Jericho. He learned the loom in Hebron through the 1950s, and in 1958 he opened the Golden Textile Factory in Jericho with his brothers. Displaced a second time in 1967, he carried the craft to Jordan and helped to pioneer the keffiyeh industry there, running the factory for forty years. His two sons run that factory today in Sahab. His grandchildren founded KUVRD.

That means there is no third party between your order and the looms. The factory is ours, the workshop where pieces are finished is ours, and the family is the same family.

Finishing and embroidery happen at the KUVRD Collective, our own workshop in Jabal Al Hussein, Amman, where we train and employ women in paid work with skills they keep. Through Karam by KUVRD, part of every sale supports humanitarian partners. If you sell our pieces, that is part of the story you can tell your own customers, and we will give you the material to tell it properly.

What is the minimum wholesale order?

25 pieces of the same style and colour. Each colourway carries its own 25 piece minimum.
How long does a wholesale order take?

It depends on stock and order size. Smaller orders ship from our North American fulfilment centre; larger runs are produced and shipped directly from our factory in Jordan. We confirm the real timeline with your quote, before you commit.
Where are KUVRD keffiyehs made?

In our own family factory, opened by our grandfather Jido Ahmed Al-Bulbul in Jericho in 1958 and run by our family ever since. Pieces are finished at our own workshop in Amman. There is no third-party supplier between your order and our looms.
Can I order samples before placing a bulk order?

Yes. Samples are available at trade price, and what you pay for them is credited against your first bulk order. We would rather you saw the pieces first.
Can I mix colours and styles in one order?

Yes, and it still counts toward your tier. A 100 piece order spread across eight colours is treated the same as 100 of one colour.
How does wholesale pricing work?

Pricing is tiered by order size, starting at 25 pieces and improving as the order grows.
Do you offer custom or private label embroidery?

Yes. Our embroidery is done at our own workshop, so custom work is possible in a way it is not for a supplier reselling finished stock. Custom runs need additional lead time. Tell us what you have in mind.
Which countries do you ship wholesale orders to?

Worldwide. We have shipped bulk orders to the United States, Canada, Norway, Jordan, Venezuela and Saudi Arabia.
Do you supply museum shops and institutions?

Yes. Museum shops, universities, non-profits and community organisations are a significant part of our wholesale business, and we can supply sourcing documentation where you need it for your own records.
Who will I be dealing with?

A person, and the same one each time. Wholesale enquiries do not go into a general queue.
