The Resistance Jacket

Once a traditional craft practiced by village women, Palestinian cross-stitch embroidery, Tatreez has become an important symbol of Palestinian heritage. It is a form of expression and the voice of Palestinian women.

This collection was made in collaboration with the handicraft project in Amman, Jordan. This denim jacket acts as a canvas for the artisan to share their story. The women were given freedom of expression during the creation process and motif choice.

Each jacket tells a different story due to the uniqueness of the craft (however the silhouette remains the same).
